[apple-iphone] Updated OS is pathetically slow

I have an iPhone 3G and sync it through iTunes with MS Outlook (not perfect - they don't really quite communicate accurately on recurring appointments). I have just downloaded the new OS 4 for the iPhone, and, since then, the Calendar on the iPhone is pathetically slow. And I really mean pathetic. It can take 15 - 20 seconds when the calendar is started, before the day's schedule is displayed (before the update, this was more or less instant), and it can take the same amount of time to switch days. New entries take up to half a minute before the data is changed! This is bizarre and unacceptable - nobody watching me would want an iPhone in a million years with this painful performance! The Calendar was fine before the updated OS and responded to all input immediately.

Incidentally, I notice one or two messages about the photos, with the new OS - for mine it seemed to take two or three syncs with the new OS before it got all my photos optimised properly again (on the third sync after the OS it went through all 400, which took, of course, an absolute age! The photos all seem fine now however)
