[apple-iphone] How to stop iPhoto from opening when connecting iPhone to Mac

When I connect the IPhone to my Mac the IPhoto application on the computer always opens up. I find this supposedly 'helpful' tendency to be a real nuisance. I have gone into ITunes and made sure that the option to Sync Photos is unchecked. However IPhoto insists on opening whenever I connect the phone to the Mac. I have rstarted ITunes and Sync Photos option remains unchecked.

Aside from removing IPhoto from my computer, which I am considering, how can I stop IPhoto from always opening on an IPhone connection?

Thanks in advance.
